Timothy Hay is a good fibre additive to diet for all grazers

Pets At Home, used to stock Timothy Hay, i have also seen for sale at small pet shops. Redigrass is another to use as a bedding or can munch on it. Meadow Hay, has more dust and if damp can produce harmful spores, but can be offered chopped up with other foods, if your tort excepts it as added fibre. If using any dried grasses as food or bedding, i would remove if became heavly wetted, or when starts to break down.

Never fed grass to Herman's and never seen them eat it, i have used Timothy Hay ( dried Timothy Grass) or Redigrass (dried Meadow Grass), for there bedding area's, it's safe if they chomp on it.
