Default Pickle's new outdoor garden

Pickle's rabbit hutch came today It's 4ft x 2ft and will keep him safe from the dogs in the back garden for this year. Next summer his own enclosure in the front will be all finished and secure

It's planted with hebe and lavender for shelter and a pansy plant for snacking. And his playsticks thing arrived so he's got a den/climbing thing.

Stupidly I put it on the bench to arrange everything and now it's too heavy to move by myself so I'll have to wait until hubby gets home to help me move it into the sunny part of the garden

don't forget to put a cover over it if it rains unless you have drainage holes in the bottom and don't put it in the full sun but sort of just a bit else he'll get to hot.

Ooh thanks for the tip, I forgot about rain! This is just his outdoor sunbathing hut, if the weather is yuk he can stay inside in his table anyway, so I can just throw a cover over it to stop it flooding

He spent the afternoon exploring in the sun First thing he did was head straight to the feeding corner and eat the weeds I'd put out. Even though he'd just been eating inside. Such a greedy tort! But he's stomped every inch of his new garden, squashed all the plants, made a mess of his pond, got wedged behind a plant pot (which I've now moved a bit) and bitten all the stones (not sure why? but he did it in his indoor table too)

A couple of pics, I swear I took more but me and my phone don't always agree on these things

Ah bless - lovely photos, he really looks like he is enjoying torts quite often seem to want to bite stones - best to make sure they are just too big to get in his mouth Has he a piece of cuttlefish so he can chomp on that?
