Some biography’s are so shocking , they leave you speechless. I watched the film of the book , twelve years a slave, it’s deeply shocking , the suffering that he and the other slaves endured, I nearly stopped watching, but thought , it was far worse to live than to watch a film about it. I think it’s good that we read these books and watch the films, as a stark and horrifying reminder of what humans have done to each other. We cannot blank out history, and we never should. So it never happens again.

Well that was a nice day in hospital (15 hours).
I was prodded and poked had an xray another scan lord knows how much blood they took think if I had charged for it it might of covered the parking fee. They even were kind enough to put me back on a drip with some sort of pain killer and injected 4.5 syringes full of something into my arm and sent me home with two lots of antibiotics as I still have an infection. Oh forgot about the ecg they did aswell. But look on the bright side there is always a bright side I got a FREE sandwich at about 10 pm. |

Did it help at all - the painkillers and antibiotics? Have they been able to give you any further info or how soon they want to whip out the gallbladder? Hopefully the ECG showed your heart is doing it’s job well and no issues there. Everything always seems to take forever in hospital and it’s so boring too but you’re in the system and fingers crossed they’ll crack on with getting whatever needs doing, done.

Well if they don’t hurry up and sort you out, Emma can be chief surgeon, I’ll do anaesthetics ( my father in law was an anaesthetist, not that that means I know anything) and the others can be theatre assistants and we will need a recovery nurse don’t worry Gordon
