One of my retro digital tv channels advertised streaming Carol Burnett shows all day Christmas day. As she was one of my favorites years ago, I'll have that to look forward to on Christmas day!

Yes, Call the Midwife is on.
We’re going ahead as we usually do with everything. Eldest son and partner now visiting Christmas Day and the rest of the time will be spent eating, napping, seeing to the animals and taking it easy. We aren’t party people so it’ll be not a lot different. The youngest 2 adult children still get to see their partners, albeit outside, as we are in Tier 2.
Yule tomorrow and we’ll be slowly seeing the days lengthen, even if they’re not warmer. I’m a little autumn/winter hermit though so I like being at home hibernating. Must be a long lockdown looming again but I can’t believe that would come as a surprise to anyone.
Keep well everyone x

It did thanks, Clare. A lovely, quiet, perfectly unsocial Christmas, which is what we do anyway!!
Son and his girlfriend popped in but we socially distanced. We don't have turkey at Christmas - always a huge joint of beef and some ham. Loads of veggie and gluten free food too, though we eat on Christmas Eve and have the nibbles on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Some brie, camembert, coleslaw, potato salad and I'm a happy little bunny.
All the presents and wrapping paper, plastics and other rubbish have been sorted and we now just chill really. Decs will come down on Tuesday and a good clean through ready for the New Year.
Have a lovely time Claire and keep away from the hospital this year please. Gordon, I hope your op hasn't been cancelled. Are you now in Tier 4?

Keep well everyone. x

We seem to still be in tier 2 even though Swindon is in tier 3 but our side of Wiltshire is still 2 even though I'm probably 20 minutes from tier 4 all very confusing.
Well I'm off for my corvid test this morning in great anticipation for my lovely operation on new years eve which seems to still be going ahead. I must admit I'm really not looking forward to it as I have a feeling of something going wrong again but it needs doing.

shame it didnt go as planned Gordon but always a higher meaning. Apparently you need to think 5 nice things and go back to your feelings and thoughts and repeat....gradually feeling better.
Call the midwife ! Motherland ! Gavin and Stacey ! all brilliant and yes had lovely Christmas Emma , same as you - loving cold cuts and its just a nice day to relax as far as I am concerned -lets face it its different across the world and different times so actual day for us is no pressure and umcommercialised - only thing didnt do was watch Elf but something nice to look forward to this year in 12 months time ! (hospitals ! been in and out all year and they have been fantastic , felt very very safe , all ok just twisted bones and muscles ), HNY to everyone ! lets hope spring comes around quickly ! CB
