I don't know what to do!? :(
Hello,
On June 27th I am supposed to be going to see/get a hatchling from a breeder in Portsmouth. But, my neighbour/close friend/breeder of Tamba has told me that she is on a waiting list to get a male to breed again. I would prefer one from her but I would have to wait a while and they might not even breed. I don't want to let the breeder down... Oh what a quandary!

I wouldn't let the breeder down either if I'd agreed to take it but it's up to you and you alone

You could be waiting for ages to get a hatchling from your friend
It may be better to get a tort that isn't related just in case you end up with one of the opposite sex and perhaps wish to breed yourself years down the line. Just a thought. |

If your ready for another now Aliza, and you have found a good breeder, I would stick to your original plans.
Rehoming can take time, especially on a waiting list, then quarentine, then successful mating etc. It could take a very long time, and I feel it would be a shame for you to maybe miss out on the hatchling available now from the other breeder. It also ensures that they are unrelated if you ever wanted a breeding group in the future. |

I cared for him for a few months before this, he was very sweet and had been mistreated by his previous owner (overgrown claws, beak, poor diet, unable to walk properly, calcium defiency)
