Default Do I need a light bulb as well as ceramic?

I have a horsfield outside, he has a hut, run & coldframe but no heat as yet. Ive been a bit concerned the last few days as we have had no sunshine, it has been dull, overcast with quite a biting wind.

I took him in the house a few times last week & popped him in a table under a lamp - which he hated when I first got him, seemed a lot happier undisturbed outside (with the sunshining) but last week seemed quite content inside & ate well.

So id like to insulate his hut (kennel type approx 20" square) I have some thin insulation material with a foil side which I think I can staple gun in place.(do you think this will be enough for the walls?) I was going to use extra materials on the roof. Then a ceramic heater on thermostat for at night but my question is although he will be warmer do I also need to provide a light bulb in his hut to simulate sunshine for an hour or two, or will just the ceramic surfice?

This will only be for a few months as im hoping to hibernate him - just not yet as he's planning!

That looks amazing!! Did you design and build it from scratch or is it a combination of bought products? I am having sleepless nights lying there thinking of what I could build for next spring.
