i have a canon ixus 50 which is a good 5 years years old but gives me wonderful pics, and now i have a panasonic lumix DMC-TZ10 which is about a year old and also very good. just look for something with optical zoom rather than digital zoom, and listen to Caledonia... he sounds like he knows a bit about cameras hehe.

saying that, dont refer to any of the pics ive uploaded as they were all taken on my phone Louise

thanks, I usually like the ones that folk don't like Practical Photography magazine is using one in their next issue, the ripples on the beach sunrise one and I didn't think it was all that good but it's a matter of opinion I suppose

Looking at his album i,d say he know,s a lot about cameras realy good pictures alan likeing the Guiness ones

I have a pentax water proof
Pentax Optio Waterproof Digital Camera which I take canoeing, but it serves as a quick to use camers for my wife. It has no complications and has taken some nice photographs.

It can get pretty close to the subject. I have taken pictures of turtles underwater with it.

See how you get on with yours first Lynne, they are all as good as each other really, the only difference is the amount of bells and whistles they have and the price
