Nina don't cut out the bedstraw plant known as Cleavers from your tortoises diet yes this does as Martin says contain high amounts of tannins but is highly edible as part of a mixed weed diet, i was just saying that woodruff is part of the Bedstraw family but should of stated that unlike Cleavers Wood ruff contains toxins that can lead to bleeding internally .

That's a relief. I'm glad to keep cleavers in because Boris always hoovers it up like it's spaghetti <g> - but I do keep it as part of a mixed diet. But I'm pulling woodruff out first thing tomorrow. Thanks again for clarifying this.
