I think excercise can ruin sleep, I come home at 10pm from the gym and I used to struggle getting off - I can usually drop off quickly. Now I finish with a sauna/steamroom sess to relax and it helps so much.
So there is your answer, buy a sauna

I fully sympathise with you. I have terrible insomnia. The night before last I was awake until 6am, just couldn't sleep for love nor money. I don't have to work but I do home educate my son so it's hard. Sometimes I'm awake for days on end, the thing is, I don't seem to get tired. But it's a lonely place to be in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep and even the dog gives you dirty looks.
Here's a poem I wrote one night. Prayer for an insomniac Come to me and hold me tight Engulf me in your sweet and gentle warmth Take me to our special place So we can be alone It’s been so long since we have been together In harmony and peace. I miss your soft and sensual embrace. I need to feel us drift away To where I can indulge my Fantasies and freedom.

what you said made me laugh, if im reading a good book i never sleep and will fight to keep my eyes open to try and finish it, then end up going to sleep early hours of the morning and waking up with a very stiff neck and massive headache....thinking why did i do that x
