hazel nut trees & ferns
anybody know if reds can eat ferns and hazel nut tree leaves also the nut itself altough i have read this has a high protein in the nut

Tree leaves are palatble to tortoises but not great on which ones , i wouldn't feed nuts to much protien and very hard to digest for redfooteds Darren

when the nuts r ripe i shall be keeping them for me
what about ferns also any idea where i could find out about the hazel leaves or shall i just concentrate on weeds was curious cus the leaves look so tender linda |

To be honest i would stick with weeds i think again tree leaves will be difficult to digest and with reds having a fast digestive tract there not really going to process much nutriants from them .
Ferns sorry avoid many contain harmful toxins . Darren
