50 seed packet

Hey,

I have on order 'Tortoise seed mix- 50 different weeds/plants 50g, 200g Calcium Carbonate and 2x Windowsill Seed Propagator'.

REALLLLLLY silly lil question, can i simply grow these in the tray and put them inside, or am i better off feeding little bits each day?

And do i need to worry about anything that isnt suitable that might grow in here? I have screen sterilized soil.

I'm no expert, but trimming a little off and putting it with the feed each day sounds good. Its what we do. I'm no expert.

you could plant up several trays

when one is grown put it in with torts

but remove it before it is totally eaten

replace with 2nd tray

the 1st tray should then in theory recover and grow on

then you keep on alternating the seed trays

ahhh i like that idea, so not letting the tort distroy the plant, but eatn down enough to recover, i like it thanks.

My tort it hardly eating tbh, only the occastional leaf, and i still havent seen her poo :/

Some may be able to be transplanted outside but like all plant's when there is no chance of a frost.

Mine suffered from a bout of not eating... until we sliced up a strawberry, they gobbled that up in seconds and have been eating well ever since! Hope this helps Gary

I phoned the place where i got her, and they said it can take up to a week, dude to the stressed of having new surrounds. But i shall order sme strawberrys today also i love em to

Mine took 7 weeks to eat

BTW your seeds will sprout within about 10 days but will take about 3 months before they have grown into plants

ouch 3 months :/ well now this snow has cleared up, im sure i can go pick something for my tort, i got a printed out sheet, with mini pics of weeds, so i can identify them easier
