question to the mods
Why was my poll closed? That was your one chance to get rid of me without action on your part.
Also... I... along with others... think closing the chat was counter productive. I'm thinking the poll was close because of the venting which normally occured on the chat... and vanished on a daily basis. Understand... the majority KNOW the mods do a thankless job on this very special chelonian forum. I think they need to blow off the nutters and do what they've been doing... as long as it doesn't get too chaotic. Control is good... too much control is worse.

It has run its course so was closed. We don't need a poll to give us permission to remove an account. Also... I... along with others... think closing the chat was counter productive. I'm thinking the poll was close because of the venting which normally occured on the chat... and vanished on a daily basis. That is your own opinion of which you are perfectly entitled, the chat box was closed by the site owners because of the total disregard for fellow members and the team here, and is closed until further notice, end of, get used to the idea. Understand... the majority KNOW the mods do a thankless job on this very special chelonian forum. I think they need to blow off the nutters and do what they've been doing... as long as it doesn't get too chaotic. Control is good... too much control is worse. It is a thankless job and doesn't help when some members take the team for granted and suggest wild and absurd accusations. Things will settle down but only if people learn to respect each other and their opinions even when they differ from their own beliefs. This doesn't mean that you have to agree with those opinions just respect them and likewise they should reciprocate.

I'm curious... have any of the mods outside of Kelly ever monitored the chat?
This 'bickering' normally occurs on the chat. Most... if not all... of the participants that seem to have caused this rift do get along and agree to disagree. The poll... was for my benefit. I felt that if I was that disruptive I would walk away. My opinion seems to be shared by others as far as the chat. As to the respect aspect... I'm pretty confident in saying that we all respect each other even though we disagree. Did you know I consider AH a friend? That's provided as food for thought. Quote:

it might seem that way Ed but is isn't really the case. However I do agree that it has just spread to here. the chat box will not be back as far as I know as long as it continues. If it stops on here then it might return but I can't do anything about that
