[QUOTE=16 shells;509264]Old'ish pic's but inside the insulated shed in winter i rig up a type of hot box, the Leo's retreating to the back or near the opening area is cooler, i can get some 100f around the lamp's on a good day. Alow out if winter weather is kind. Tube heater night heat. The perspex and bit's stripped out near spring.
Love this set up given me ideas lol is the hot box in a shed or stand alone unit? |

if you use something like sand or soil on the floor it might stop the house from becomming smelly and absorb the waste, my sully's only tiny but he does do a big poo for such a small guy however he always does it in his sleeping house never in the table. I think you have to have something absorbant though I never notice any smell comming from the tables but would if the poo was trampled around or on paper etc. My adults Ibera's had readigrass as substrate and that was very good at keeping the house non smelly and easy to pick up poo etc plus its edible, we just used to pour it in, the big bales from a horse feed shop is the cheapest way to buy, around £8 per bale and a bale would last ages.

Thinking about shed's/hut's mentioned before for realy young African's i would go for a roomy hut/kennel type. untill they were large maybe, iv'e sectioned off there part of shed thinking they may need all of it later. But they don't realy move around much in just nough to thermoregulate or go for a drink.
