Default I have a new creature!

I have just got a snail form my neighbour.
Her daughter didn't want it anymore, so I took it off her hands!
They got it last summer, and it was about an inch then.
Hasn't been kept that well. Has been mainly fed on apples and carrots. What other things do they eat?

I have no idea what type, could someone help with this please?

sky remote is just to give you a clue of size!

and bless her, my eldest having a hold! (no she's not drunk she was blinking!)

hi tammy

it looks like a fulica
no celery celery can kill
but all the good red lettuces
sweet potatoe
sweet corn
weeds & weeds
cucumber
fruits
carrot
porridge no sugar
peppers
beetroot
brown bread a bit and a bit damp
CUTTLE FISH all the time they munch it

i hope that is enough to keep snail going for a bit

the snails shell looks a little tired
dayly baths
change substrate weekly dirty / used substrate can erode the shell

Looks just like my Fulicas but bigger!

I feed mine on lettuce and slices of sweet potato. I also made them a special snail "porridge" from oats, sunflower hearts, hempseed, and limestone flour, mixed it all up and ground to a powder with a mortar and pestle.
When I give them a piece of lettuce in the evening I put a big pinch of the porridge mix on top, then spray the tank with water making sure it soaks the porridge. When they wake up they go mad for it!

I have put in some sticks of carrot and some lettuce.
I also put in a piece of cuttle fish last night while it was asleep, when it woke up this morning he/she went straight to it and stayed there for over an hour!
