nah all the ones I know are soft as well you know, mine is a big scaredy cat. She really thinks she's human and loves nothng better than a cuddle in a blanket. I have never ever met a nasty boxer in all my life. My cousin would only have boxers, he has one now.

Like others have said, you need to think about the amount of exercise you can give, whether you want a long or short coat, a guarding or non-guarding breed and whether you would like one that is easy to train? If you don't mind a cross breed, then you could re-home a pup from a shelter (they will be able to fix you up with one to suit your home). I have to agree with Ed that there are some dogs who seem to be born bad and they can be any breed but treated well and properly socialised from an early age, most dogs grow into well-adjusted adults.

We have a staffie/lab/collie mix (see pic) and he is the best dog i have ever had, so loyal, i have had border collie, and labs and they are great pets, but do need lots of stimulation and exercise. Good luck with your search.
