Thanks sandy, does it look normal to you? Do you think it looks swollen as there's that fleshy bit at the cloaca x

You could have rubbed some lube on it I expect the cold water worked a treat! that will teach him not to flash it in future

To be honest, I have only had this happen to one of my males once. I did soak him in sugar water, as it had been out for quite a long time:0) But not sure what or how long it had been out. But took nearly 3hrs to go back in.
So not sure what a swollen one looks like:0) Soaking in Sugar water also helps keep it clean, so it does not get soil etc on it. I had been to a talk by Mark Rowlands, and this was one of his suggestions to do, if it happened. He is a tortoise vet:0)

Thanks for the tip sandy, if he has a struggle again then I will use this method, is it just a teaspoon of sugar in the bath? X

When I have this trouble with my turtles or tortoises I always just pour sugar on the offending organ Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes than rinse off and do it again if it hasn't gone down enough to go back in. You can also push it back in (sometimes possible) with a finger and hold the tail to try to keep it in while it goes down.
