Default Feeling for eggs

I have been in the greenhouse soaking my lot today and thought I would just try feeling for eggs as a couple of the females may have some coming soon, I have attempted this quite a few times over the last couple of years and felt nothing. Today I am sure that I have felt some (well 1) in Myrtle, just in one side, it was amazing and totally unexpected I know that some people say that it is not possible but I am 99% sure that it was an egg, I will have another feel in a few days if she hasnt laid by then.

Tip the tortoise sideways then put your finger into the soft gap in front of the tortoises knee, the tortoise will pull its knee in so be careful if you have a large/strong species as it may be like a clamp! feel for something round, then check the other side in the same way

Should add that you feel the side of the tortoise that is downwards, thus letting gravity help.

I had a guess that's how it was done, so will certainly give that a go, my girls are big, heavy and very strong, so I might get clamped lol x
