I managed to get a paddle type applicator so that worked well as I had full control of where it ended up, I was careful to let the stuff dry as you suggested so thanks for that advise

Will do!
It seems odd that I already have 10 eggs in the incubator when last year I only had a total of 7 laid all season! I could potentially get more females laying this season as I have Maureen, Hilda and Doris who are all on the brink, this was Aggies first time and of course the 2 who got the ball rolling last year Gertrude and Myrtle. My males could be busy this year
