Hello
My name is Pam. I am a youth-worker and live in Hull. I am married to Tim and have two grown up daughters.
My father used to have a pet shop many years ago, think this is where I got my interest in pets, reptiles especially. We have a cat Claude who is 17 years old. Isobel and Eric two bibron geckos, they joined our family about 11 years ago. Rocky a leopard gecko, we got him about three years ago. Several fish in the pond, some started off in an aquarium when the girls were little. 8 tarantulas, I built my collection up over a couple of years, some were tiny spiderlings when I bought them. One is a brazillian white knee, just a speck when I got him......you should see him now! The giant land snail was bought for my two granddaughters, and then more recently we got Digger, a horsefield tortoise. He is special. I have wanted a tortoise for years but waited for the kids to leave home as I needed the space, and also our dog, Buster died last year which also contributed to me thinking that now was the time to get my tortoise. Digger was bought for me as a birthday present by my two daughters. Couldn't have asked for anything better. He is a lovely little thing. We think about two years old and has lots of personality. Tim loves him as much as I do. I have been looking at the Shelled Warriors site for quite some time. Came across it while shopping on Ebay for my tortoise. It is the best site I have come across. I have joined some of the others sites, but it is this one that I spend time looking at. I have picked up lots of information and know where to come if I have any problems. Pam 8) |

Hi Pam, and welcome to SW! Sounds like you have a real love of animals, and it would be great to see a picture of Digger.

Thanks everyone.
I am kept quite busy with all of my pets. Digger is a long awaited addition. Will try to put a pic of him on soon. Will have to work out how to do it first! Pam x |
