It is indeed The vet we're taking him to tomorrow is in Handover who apparently look ater Marwell's reptiles.

please keep us updated

i think the breathing that you are desribing is quite normal torts can not expand their rib cage like us so do odd bits of

movement to get air in and out

You have already had the answers to your questions so there isn't really much I can add.

Hi good luck with your little tort at the vets. the picture with the lettuce leaf is good,but please remember they need weeds,weeds and more weeds as a staple diet.

Cheers guys and gals for all your welcomes and help so far, this site is great. We use all sorts of forums for our many hobbies Classic minis, MKII Golf Gtis, VW Campers and our fish and this is one of the most helpfull and welcoming we have ever used. I think this is a due to the kind of people that Torts allow themselves to be looked after by

We'll post up the results of our trip to the vets when we get back.

Yes we realised that, those photos were taken about 2hrs after he arrived and I thought the nice juicy lettuce would be a good first meal as it has plenty of water in it. Since then he has been munching on Dandylion leaves a Kurly Kale which seems to be his fave so far. We have bought loads of seeds and will be commencing propagation over the weekend.
