Default new thread about wierd tort

To recap- I've got a very sleepy tort. She took ages to settle in last year. But then was fine for months. Lately she's back to not getting up and not eating. She's only gained and very small amount of weight in the year i've had her. The past couple of days she's been walking with ridiculously big movements. I bath twice a day and just started using abidec.

Thanks for replying. Yes I used it last year to help her get going after not settling for months and started again this year. I didn't see a change so another member has told me about her tiny tort and said abidec really helped so i've just got some and this will be day two of trying it. X

Don't know if you've been following my thread which led to this one. Although the leg movements sound similar, I hadn't noticed the lethargy or lack of eating up until Tuesday night. One possible cause on my issue is a vitamin B1 block or deficiency. Do you you suppliment the tortoises food daily with Nutrobal or similar? Heres something you wont hear often from me have you considered a formulated diet? This may aid weight gain and cover a possible deficiency.

Hi kirkie. I have indeed been following your thread. I think my tort could well be suffering with a deficiency of EVERYTHING. She barely eats at all. I supplement every weed feed with nutrobal and I do already use pellets two or three times a week. It was the only thing I could get her eating at first so decided to stick to it. I've used trex, and just bought some leafeater from paul x
