Stinkpot.. my little musk :)

so i'm not yet a tort owner, but this is my beautiful, hilarious little musk turtle

he was previously unloved in another home for the first 2 years of his life, but since we took him on in october 2011 he is thriving, gaining weight, swimming around and generally being a delight ! these are some classic stinkpot pics, enjoy! Louise

he is my pride and joy! i never thought i would ever own a turtle, he was given to me with only a days notice so it was a steep learning experience! here is a picture of his whole tank.. please excuse the big glass jug, my guppy just had 80 odd fry so im keeping them in there for a bit! Louise

thanks everyone! i'm chuffed with his tank

he came in a 1 ft viv when i got him, no filter, no heater, no basking or uv lights for 2 years

he only had 2 inches of water and couldn't swim. he weighed by our estimation between 5 and 7 grams but is now up to 29 grams and swims like a nutter! Musks are pretty much the smallest turtles, he can reach 5 inches but i don't think he will ever get that big bless him. i just love him so much!!!!
