white stuff in pee
The last 2 baths I have noticed white stuff in Dexter's pee what is it and should I worry?

Hi the bath makes them relax and the white stuff is perfectly normal

Last time honest Urates are just a by product of normal metabolism. You need to make sure that the urates are nice and creamy. If they're gritty or hard then your tortoise is possibly dehydrated and you will need to increase bathing until they return to a normal consistancy.

The white stuff is urates... and insoluable salts. Plants high in oxalic acid can cause a problem if fed too much... the most commonly known is spinach among others.
Check out what you are feeding and see if there are many plants high in oxalic acid.

Even on a 'perfect diet' some species will pee urates daily. The time to worry is if they are gritty, hard, or there are huge quantities in proportion to the urine

Doesn't seem to have grit have kept an eye out for that, and have him on a varied diet of weeds, crispy leaf salad and some pellets not a lot of one thing. Will keep an eye out for grit. The weeds I feed him I have checked with Tortoise Table website and all seem to be ok in moderation
