Default waterbowl for hatchling

im thinking ahead to if our eggs hatch and I would like some advice on the best waterbowl for hatchlings please. ive seen the ones with ramps are these good? if so what size what brand? have only seen them online and dont want to buy one in case it turns up massive!! many thanks

I read somewhere that a jam jar lid is good for hatchlings

yes I read that too... I have a bowl with a ramp and it would just be FAR too big...

ah fab thanks guys havent never had hatchlings im very nervous about their teeny size! i want it deep enough for them to soak in but not too big they can get in it! I will look out some lids many thanks

I've got quite a small bowl with ramp and my 4month old redfoot can only just get out.

maybe ill just collect loads of lids and try them out that will only feed my husbands thoughts that im tortoiase obsessed even more hahah

No problem, I'd start Really small then you could always get bigger stuff if it's needed x

My oh thinks Im completely mad and care more about the tortoises than him... I'm not confirming or denying this... But maybe sometimes lol x

hahaha my hubby keeps asking exactly how many times in a day i need to go into the garden and look at the tortoises in their houses!!! As many as I blooming well like is the answer. Well for a man the says he wasnt keen on tortoises he has gone from saying we will keep one of the hatchlings to keeping all three if they all hatch!!!! He loves the old crustys really
