Medical Care of Turtles and Tortoises
Recently published by Chimaira:
Medical Care of Turtles & Tortoises, Diagnosis, Surgery, Pathology, Parasitology. By Jan Hnizdo & Nikola Panchev As the title suggests, this impressive volume is targeted at the Veterinary Surgeon and Veterinary practitioners. That said, for bibliophiles and those interested in a greater understanding of Chelonia an interesting addition to the personal library. Last edited by Geomyda; 20-05-2011 at 05:52 PM. |

lol that depends how simple the language and information is put across
i think it would be a good idea if there was a thread on here that people could add or recommend reptile vets to - and then a list could be compiled for each region as i see people asking about vets a few times and i only been on here a short time - and i suppose it is better to have a vet in mind before u need to use one than search for a vet when there is a problem |

I have the one by Stuart McArthur, find it a bit grissly with post mortem pictures but after 10 mins you switch off to that & it is useful & interesting. An investment though!

Yes, it arrived today. Like London Buses, it turned up with another recently published book "Saving Sea Turtles" by James Spilota.
I also have the Stuart Mac Arthur book, which was published a few years ago now. Of course, the subject matter is indeed, at times a little gruesome and covers some very distressing case studies. However, it is a very good reference, with very up to date techniques and information. |

I have the McArthur book too, I love it, a really interesting read. The OH didn't like it at all though lol, he wasn't too happy about the pics of stillborn hatchlings
