Pink Wing Bee?
Hi everyone,
Me and mum were away on a week pick about 2-3 days ago, and while picking some plantain, I noticed a bee on a daisy. But it had pink wings I've never ever seen a bee with pink wings, they're normally a silvery see-through colour. Does anyone have any idea about this? What species it may be, is it an endangered species, etc etc? Thanks x

Could it have been a humming bird hawk moth?

If it is, you could visit this site, so you can add your sighting

Thanks Wendy and Laraine, but I don't think it was a Humming Bird Hawk Moth. Could it be an unknown species?

the wings of a wood wasp are tinted pink but it is larger than a bee and they don't usually hang around flowers. people kill them instantly but they are harmless, the big sting-like prong that the female has is for boring into wood to lay eggs
