What's your news
What have you all been up to over the summer, tell us your news, and let's all catch up.
No more baby torts for me this summer, but my creep are all very well and growing beautifully, they have enjoyed the lovely summer we've been having, poor thing have had to travel a bit. I had a lovely holiday in Cornwall, the weather was fantastic , and I didn't wan to go home. The old tort, Sammy, had a wonderful time on his holiday, with five females to woo, which he did with great enthusiasm. Then we all travelled North to Lincolnshire , to my mums, and had a very special treat last night, a spitfire and hurricane flew past over the house, mum and I jumped up and down like mad women, they must have seen us , so went round again and came past really low and tipped their wings towards us. I nearly passed out with excitement . So that's my summer.

I am 1 week into 4 weeks annual leave from uni, and a good job too. Nothing much has changed here and the only exciting news is that my eggs are now at 8 weeks.

Well ... we had a lovely holiday in Turkey and saw lots of torts in the wild, which I'll get round to posting when I remember how
We now have Charitable status for our donkey sanctuary called Farmersfield Rest-home for Elderly Donkeys (FRED) - we have a FB page - and are looking for friends! Excuse the shameless plug Torts have had a great summer - and no lost Horsfields - so far!!!

Amazing that so much has happened since we've been away. My news is that my husband is back in contact with his birth mother after 47 years. She's welcomed him with open arms, adores the four grandchildren and we're all in daily contact. It's been very special!

Thanks. It's taken two years to find her - she's in Canada - but she travels a lot and there are plans for a proper reunion before too long. Prior to that hubby gets to meet his Uncle, who lives in East Sussex, next month. His Uncle is only four years older than him so they're looking forward to having a pint together.
Amazingly we discovered that we named two of our children after my husband's great-grandmother and grandad. We had no idea! Also his uncle has these same two names for one of his daughters and his son. Quite incredible! The coincidences have been truly mind blowing!
