Default john lennon

he was shot dead 30 years ago today. I remember it well because I was in hospital at that time after a major accident and a nurse told me. it was the first time in over a month that I knew what was going on in the outside world

I got dragged into a piece of machinery. Here's the ironic bit, everyone was wearing ear muffs and couldn't hear me shouting to them to switch it off. That is what pisses me off about health and safety, some government smart arses in an office somewhere says what you must do without considering each individual sitution. a visual alarm system at the danger point might have been handy for instance

I remember it, I was pretty upset about at the time.
I grew up listening to my Mum's Beatles albums and loved all the films John was my favourite

Sometimes you can't make it up. I was in a hotel recently and was laughing at all the H&S labels everywhere. On the hot tap - caution, hot water. On the iron - do not iron clothes whilst wearing them. On the shower gel - do not drink me.

I was only 9 months old when he was shot so can't say I remember where I was but I love the Beatles one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar

Daft but that's what they do now to cover themselves against claims.

They come up with ideas for Health & Safety without ever asking anyone's input or actually having a go at it themselves. It will always work on paper. The high-vis hard hat brigade

yes, I preferred the rolling stones to the beatles but I also preffered others to the rolling stones. I did like their old ones but not much of their stuff after the 60's
