I too used to keep tarantulas in my bedroom when I lived at home with my mom, had 1 chile rose, 2 mexican red knees and a salmon pink bird eating spider. My mom wasn't too impressed, she hates spiders. She was more annoyed though because I could not contain their food securely enough to stop them roaming around the house. I was constantly asked to retrieve crickets that had escaped. Even funnier though was the time she came into my room to do a spot of tidying while i was at work, she was dusting and accidentally knocked the lid ajar to one of the terraniums... the spider escaped, never to be seen again. Do you know in the four years following we had no normal house spiders come into the house. I reackon that the spider lived this long and ate all other bugs. Didn't find it amussing at the time, quite the opposite! But we laugh about it now. Anyway hello and welcome to SW
