Thanks nina, will get some nice pics of him over the weekend...
Its awful to hear this cud have hurt my poor terry... I took him to a reccomended vet in emsworth...he said he had done shell repairs like that 'hundreds of times'. I think the vet did a really good job, but I will voice my concerns bout why he was not given an anaesthetic...see wot he says...
Thanks for the advice tho..

Hello Jo,

Without seeing the wound before treatment, I could not say whether or not an anaesthetic would have been needed. I personally would have opted to administer one as 'best to be safe than sorry'. Would also have advised the use of a mild analgesic until the repaired site had settled but as previously mentioned, I had not seen the original damage. The area looks good though and it seems Terry is recovering well.....eating is a really good sign of that!

Terry looks very handsome (or at least the back end of him does) and I hope my baby will grow to such a mighty size! Had trouble when she first hatched so is alot smaller than her hatchlings and will probably always be so. Keep meaning to post some pictures but never get around to doing so. I'm a bit of a scatter brain!!!!

Good Luck!!
