Default elp quik

Hi,
I have 8 hermann tortoises- 6 females and 2 male,
i got told to put them together but one of them has seriuos cuts so i spilt them up now it seems depressed please help

Hi Tortoise Man,

Firstly welcome to the forum.

Secondly, I think you have done the right thing to seperate them until you know how the injurieds occurred.

Can you elabourate on the information, so that we can possibly give you a clearer solution to your problem. eg. how long they have been together, how old are they, how long have you had them and any other relevant information you can think of.

Sorry I haven't been much help, but its a start.

how bad r these injuries

sorry i do not have the knowledge as yet to help

but i am sure somebody more experienced will help

do u think u might need a vet

hope everthing goes better for this 1 injured tort

This happened to me when i put my horsfield male with my female, he would bod his head then run affter her and bite her front and back legs, its part of their mating ritual. You may only have to introduce the males for mating purposes.

How big is your enclosure? and how old are they?
