I do have an emotional attachment to my animals, and my dog has an attachment to me, however my torts don't and my birds are frightened of me lol

but they are used to me and i can stroke their chins and they dont pull their heads in, they pull their heads in if anyone else touches or goes to touch them, so they have some sort of attachment of some kind

I don't have a favourite tortoise but Theo seems to connect more in an emotional way than the other tortoises. He will come towards me whenever he sees me for a rub on the head and a little cuddle. I don't think it's because he just associates me with food either as none of the other torts do it. He really loves a bit of affection.
