pellet foods
For or against what are your views on feeding rabbit pellets to sulcatas and Aldabras in the winter as part of there diet. The reason for question is that 2 or 3 other tort keepers have recomended I try them , but I am not sure.

We supplement our leopards fresh food with zoomed Natural Grassland Tortoise Food, he loves it too, Very handy having a stock of this stuff in the winter months when fresh food is not readily available in the garden, especially with this long cold/snow spell we had.

I supose it would bedifficult to buy a sack of tortoise pellets of the same size as the rabbit pellets , as I would need a very large sack to feed my gang.
2x Aldabras approx weight 7 1/2 stone each, 6x Sulcatas addults, 4x Leopards addults |

I don't know about feeding Rabbits but for the commercial food's there is not that much difference except for a few add in's and take out's of plant's. Looked at a typical good feed Rabbits, i think.
http://www.dodsonandhorrellonline.co...9c8h7kgpdlt393 Some are edging on 17% protein and seem to mention digestive additives, this could be any plant that help's. Finding a break down on them and comparing with a tort pellet would help.

There's probably not much difference between pre-alpin cobs and rabbit pellets... they do seem to smell exactly the same to me.

I can relise the quantity you would need to feed your Tortoises a commercial food Aldabra Man, a mix of cheaper grass pellet's, Tortoise dry pellet's, spring green vegtable's and Hay as a winter food supply is my Leopard's winter diet.
