Hmm. Thats true. Toby got too wet and cold since the snow is too deep, over his waist, so we ended up doing it in shifts while one was inside with him. Not much fun on your own. Took us 5 hours too!!
He's called Simon by the way. He's my new pet and am already dreading him melting.

Thanks. I'll send you some. I was so excited to get it but now it's too deep for my son to walk in and nowhere has a sledge. I've ordered one finally on the net. 40 quid and no guarantee it'll come.

I did see a clip on the news this morning of a teeny little kid who couldn't walk in it because it was up to his waist. It looked quite comical but it must have been mighty annoying for him!

It's hilarious to watch but if we go too far he ends up tears cos his trousers freeze round his bum. Must be awful. I thought we had waterproofs for him but he's just had a growth spurt and they won't even go part his knees. Got a Springer so with no walk he's a nightmare to live with. I keep letting him in the garden but he steals Simon's arms and the tears start again!!! So we're doomed to watching Toy Story a million times a day till this ice age is over. X

I tried to make one, but we haven't had much snow here yet. Just a couple of inches and it's very powdery and won't ball up.
Here is my attempt from last year: George George the Snowman by Coolsox, on Flickr

Our snowman last year was called George too! I like his blue eyes. Is it food colouring? Ooh, the possibilities with that are endless!!
