again... tortoises are opportunistic feeders... it's common knowledge they eat cats.

Perhaps they should add dogs to their warning! One of our torts tries chasing the dogs! he has no fear and will chase anything given half a chance! I think he was used to dogs in his previous home. Luckily for the dogs they are on the other side of a 3ft fence!

As you learn more about tortoises you'll find that the provided information in this thread is not conflicting at all. If you are one of those people who needs to be told what to do... hope you have a good shrink... then this information will be confusing.

Unfortunately, i was one of those people that needed to be told what to do when i bought my tort as i was new to it and hadnt done my homeowork.
Thankfully i stumbled upon this site and was given the right guidance.
Now, nearly a year on, i am able to make my own decisions and use my instincts but im glad the help is still available to me. If i had read these conflicting caresheets n the beginning, i would have been confused!
