Default what am i?

can anyone tell me what kind of turtle this is.i was told that it was a european pond turtle,but have since found out that it is not.i will have to email pics to you as i am new to this and i am afraid i do not know how to put them on here.thankyou

Hello and welcome to Shelled Warriors Balacollie.

If you hit the reply to post button you will get a blank screen to add your comment.

Under this box is a green Add image to post button if you press this and then search for the picture you want to post and then upload it, when upload is complete press the submit button and your picture will be there with your reply. This can also be done whan you create the post in the first place.

when i click on the add image to post button,a new window opens but will not load.it says at the top of the window post image.org.my pics are on my comp.does that make a differance.

looks a bit like an eastern mud turtle not 100% sure though

Hi Diane,
You have a European pond turtle, Emys obicularis Not sure which subspecies though, a plastron shot might help with that. He looks great

hi danny,thanks for that.here is the plastron pic you said might help.he is a real character,very funny little chap.can you also tell what sex it is as the tail is very long and thin.i think it is a male.
