Yes we have been advised by Elmar to feed dried shrimp to keep the colour so that is now on the menu. Our donations are helping to indentify a sub-species cuora trifasciata meier which has a white throat and can only be found in one area of Vietnam almost extinct.

I was trying to find the breeding records from Munster for last year. Do you have a set?

I have found the 2008 breeding records which are in a pdf file. Does anyone know how I can post these on the forum.
The file is an illustrated report with nice photographs and tables showing the number of each species produced in that year?

A pic of me with my husband Paul, Paul Eversfield with Elmar Meier and Ingrid his wife at the farewell dinner at the the end of the recent Asian turtle Symposium held at Muenster Zoo Germany. We all learnt a lot about how to breed and keep some of the rare asian species including the cuora trifasciata. it was also interesting to fully understand the sub species of the cuora trisfasciata and cylonata (don't think I've spelt that right!) and the differences between them. We both common subspecies if you can call an endangered animal common!!
