Hi Tank, good luck for Sunday, at least with you his life will improve!!! On Sunday all you need to do is turn the Vivarium on its back, so that the glass end is on top and take out the glass, this will make it an open box, you can clamp the basking light and uv to the sides then, this will make do til you know what you're doing!!!

Hi Tank....
Welcome to the forum. Like you, my first tortoise (Jez) lived in a viv for 4 days until I found this site. We built a tort table straight away but if you cant do that.... a good suggestion was made earlier... pop to B&Q or similar and get an under the bed storage box... fill it with substraite etc.. and you are away.... it will certainly be a lot better than the viv and will tide you over until you can made a tort table. Well done for researching....hand on heart.. I can honestly say that this forum is amazing... I have met 3 people in real life off here so far (Veebee, Aprillinda & Sarah) and are all fab.... everyone is very genuine with no hidden agendas, if you are stuck, worried etc.. just shout up.. someone will be along to guide you in the right direction. (sadly not me as I am still very much learning!!!!:P) Will be thinking of you tomorrow... remembering what its like collecting your first ever tort. x x x |
