I keep Iberas, they're lovely but I think Hermans are hardier

My Ibera lived for 7 years in lost in the wilds of my garden. I do live in the south east though. I've never really thought about how hardy my torts are.

I have two ibera's and they are great. One i've had for less than a week and she's certainly a tough cookie. Been through the mill and back and still a friendly wee thing. Of course i've not kept other species to compare with but i'd definately recommend them

I am a begginer and have a Hermann aged 2yrs, he is just brilliant. Defo made the right choice.

I only say Hermans as i believe Iberas are more suseptible to RNS.

yes, horsfields more prone to shell rot I think but you only really seem to see it if the tort has been kept in really poor conditions. not seen a whole lot of posts with it being a problem
