hi guys i hope you dont mind me adding my pics to this thred but i found this in my B&Q - yes i know the veggiebed it is upsidedown but i put it up this way so i could put some netting over the top of the legs, oh and i couldnt get it in the ground.... lol i have dug out quite abit, lined the bottom and filled it with 175 lts of top soil... which i had to carry to and from the car 8 trips! so the wooden viggiebed £19.95 the topsoil £2.99 each, i had all the plants and the netting - which i have yet to get - is only £3 i think i got a good deal

I'd say instead of using pond liner use one of the weed guard fabrics. No worries about drainage hole becoming blocked then.

If its going outside its going to get wet, and you need to make sure its free draining otherwise it will turn into a swamp.

If you were making it for indoors then I could see why using a pond liner would make sense.

my outdoor table has been painted with special outdoor furniture paint that weatherproofs it so i will just be lining with a weed mat now instead of a pond liner! Cant wait to get the bl***Y thing finished now and get pebble outside properly b4 the summer ends!
