Mine did that when I did not have the ends pushed in quite right but I'm not sure what type mine are.

Hi,
Most common reasons are Cold lamp! End caps not on properly or the connections worn inside the end cap Fsu switch need replacing. Fsu starters need changing every 2 years or so to make sure the controller can work properly, Damaged pins on insertion New lamp syndrome. Some new lamps will have what is called phosphor migration. This presents as a rippling along the lamp for the first week or so as the lamp burns in and becomes stable. It's quite normal but can be more apparent if an under powered or defective control spruce is used Have a try of these things and let us know when it gets better. If the Lamp is faulty (never seen one yet) just return it they are all guaranteed. John
