Just a word of warning people are offen put off selling tortoises to people who say they dont mind which breed because this shows they have not done their research. Different tortoises have different needs.

oh right my bad. i was just saying i didnt mind which breed cause i didnt wana be picky lol. i will do my research now :P

Hi graham. I also found this site whilst looking to buy a tortoise. I considered buying from online shops ect but after doing more research i decided i did not wanna go down that road.....
I found lists of registered breededs online,i believe shelled warriors have a breeders list. Check there out and see if there are any in your area. Thats what i did and hopefully my new friend will be with me sometime around march (some breeds of tortoises are currently in hibernation).
Hope this helps,its hard being new here and not knowing what you should and shouldn't say but everyone here's been really friendly and Ive found it a great place for learning more about tortoise husbandry.
