Lethe- New Greek Adoptee
Ok so I adopted a greek today that needed a new home. She's a heavy girl but has some issues. First off her beak is way overgrown and the trimming that was done on it was badly done so she has some beak issues. Second her skin sloughs off like she's had a bad sunburn and is now peeling. Here are some pics, I also wanted to know what subspecies she is if anyone wants to hazard a guess.

She looks good Rachel, except for her beak. That shouldn't be too hard to fix. She's a Libyan greek.

I filed her beak down some last night with a nail file. She was really good about it. I just held her head and filed it and she sat there and hardly struggled at all. She even opened her mouth while I was doing it and held her mouth open. I didn't file down too much because I didn't want to make her mouth tender. I got it filed down at least to her chin and evened up the sides some. She looks better. I figure I will just file a bit more down every week until it looks normal. She ate like a horse too. I think she ate almost a whole head of red leaf lettuce and about 15 dandelion plants.
Now I need a big male to match her.

Hi Rach,
She is a lovely tortoise, she should come on really well with the lots of loving care that you are already giving her. It would be great to see pictures showing the progress of the filing down of her beak. Ade
