Default 19th September 2010 tortoise meeting

Welcome to the September 2010 meeting.

Why not come along and learn more about tortoises, terrapins and turtles. Meet people with similar interests in a friendly and relaxed environment. Listen to talks, exchange ideas and swap friendly advice on every aspect of tortoise keeping. All ages welcome.

Just Me and my Tortoise is a voluntary tortoise, terrapin and turtle group that covers the whole of Kent and London and provides support, education and helps rescue and re-home Chelonia. It is free to join us and you do not have to live in the area to come along to our meetings.

Vet presentation:
Viral diseases – the herpes virus

Speakers:

Lynne Stokes B.Vet.Med M.R.C.V.S. Vet from the Exotic Animal Centre in Essex

Sunday 19th September 2010
1.45pm - 5.30pm - presentations start at 2pm

Venue: Keston Village Hall, Heathfield Road, Kent BR2 6BG

Includes refreshments and cake

There is also a Testudo graeca graeca interest group meeting after the speaker's presentation, so bring your Tgg photos along.

(Please do not bring tortoises, terrapins or turtles along to the meeting)
Please contact me to book a place or for further details.

Just Me and my Tortoise hope you enjoy the meeting

I'm looking forward to this meeting, I won't be a regular due to distance but it fits in with travelling to visit family members.

Really interested in the vet talk, and of course meeting everyone

Lynne Stokes is a great speaker, I had the pleasure of hearing her last year at the BCG symposium in Milton Keynes...

I seem to remember another great talk from someone whose name escapes me for the moment
