I was planning to go, but i have had to back out too. I have to go out for my in-laws tomorrow and do some errands for them, then spend the evening round theirs.
Hope you all have a great meeting though! Dave, update me when you get back x |

Kirkie has just sent me an email saying due to work on the railways some of the trains to Bromley may have problems. Please check first and an alternative station is Hayes (Kent), and then the 246 bus. Hayes (Kent) is nearer to Keston than Bromley but it is a slower service into/from London. Hope the journey will be ok for everyone.

I have just phoned South Eastern Rail and all trains are running from London to Bromley today so you will have no problems. They are re-routed around the engineering works.
Their phone number to get a train time convenient for you is 08457484950. Victoria to Bromley leaves at 12.42 and arrives at 12.58 Elephant and Castle leaves at 12.24 and arrives at 12.47 See you later Wendy Last edited by justmeandmytortoise; 07-06-2009 at 08:23 AM. |

Yes, indeed a very good meeting Wendy, very well done Lynne Stoakes once again delivered an excellent talk and answered many very interesting questions.
It was also great to meet a few faces from this Forum, and David, I can assure you, the the Aldabran was safely returned to his herd of Giants! Just to prove it, here he is with a few more of his chums: Last edited by Geomyda; 07-06-2009 at 09:57 PM. |

Thats the one I want, the one in the middle. Suddenly he looks so small!
Lovely tortoise, a real credit to his owner. Once again, it was great to meet you today. You too Lilllis. Anyone I didn't get to meet, next time I can honestly recommend this meeting to anyone in the South East. I hope to go to the next one, it clashes with my summer hol's but I'll think of something. The one following that looks a cracker too. Well done again Wendy. |
