Default Aldi top soil- dont bother!!

As the title says save yourself the hasse & dont bother! Think its something they dont always have in but as I was there it was easy to grab, save crossing the main road into Wickses. Its full of twigs & wooden bits, I put some in my large females area & swiftly found two of them exploring what the additions were, so got to take it all out & go to Wickses anyway!

I tried some last year Lynn and seem to remember spending quite a time picking all the bits out! I just use the Wickes soil now which is good stuff and usually on offer.

Funnily enough I brought 4 bags, used two & today I took the other two back as I almost always use wickses & its just over the road. Anyway got talking to a woman in the carpark who was wondering why I was struggling to get them out of my car! She reckons they have had batches put in wrong bags & its actually bark in the top soil bags!!! & thats certainly what it looks like

I usually buy the John Innes screened top soil, but recently this has been the same, even found broken glass in it before now.

I have just used some from homebase, buy three get one free. My hermanns really love it compared to the last stuff I had from B&Q.
