yeh only made the mistake once and it hurt for blooming ages so put me off for a while, but looked at them properly next time and now pick the right one. I actually picked some at 7am this morning while out with my dog, these had little white flowers on and put some down for each of my torts X

Big guess at No.1, if it's a Brassica family, Hoary Cress, Lepidium draba.

Looking like Brassica to me, so went straight to the Cabbage pages .
So iffitis sparingly fed maybe.

Edible Uses
Edible Parts: Leaves.
Edible Uses: Condiment.

Young leaves and shoots - raw in salads or cooked as a potherb. A report says that the young leaves contain the toxin hydrogen cyanide, though does not give any more details[240]. In small quantities this substance is fairly harmless, and has even been recommended as having health benefits, but caution is suggested if you eat these leaves[K]. The pungent leaves are used as a seasoning. The seed is used as a condiment, it is a pepper substitute

i don't think it is hoary Cress. That has pointed leaves and a bluish look about. Certainly what i have see does. Have a look at this picture:-

Could the weed be Alexanders? That has shiny green leaves.
