Default 3 Main Ingredients

I know it's best to feed as wide a variety of plants as possible. At this time, I KNOW there are 3 weeds I can get from my own yard at any time. They are: Dandelion, Plantain, and Clover (two or three varieties). If I use those three as the main staples and throw in whatever else I can find at various times, will I be ok? Right now, I don't know enough about the various different kinds of weeds to feel comfortable with my identification skills. Will the three I listed be a good diet as I learn? I don't know which plants contain which essential nutrients and am just afraid I may be lacking something in this mix.

Dandelions Scott are the best thing for essential nutrients leaves and flowers. They other 2 are good too and any others you can find for variety. There should be some great visual guides for weeds in the links here

Thanks Dan. That's good news. I actually collected a bag full of dandelion seeds a few weeks ago. I think I'm going to start growing some of them indoors to make sure I have a ready supply.

Don't forget that you can add variety to the weed diet with flowers like hibiscus, lavatera, evening primrose, pansy, campanula - and these plants will look nice in your garden too.

Default can you buy dandelions seeds on their own?

as per title so i can guarentee spray free plants,as we are moving soon and it may take time to pinpoint what areas i can pick,as we dont pick from fields or roadsides,we try to use common ground /nature reserve etc.
