breeding hermanns ADVICE
hiya has you all know i have 3 hermanns they are 4 years of i notice yesterday the male was attemting to mate with one of the to females they are sized between 3 1/2 inches and 4 inches and the females that he is not bother seems to betrying to bite the one he is trying his breeding with what do you suggest i do such i take the female out that is biting or just keep and eye on them

hi Kelly it sounds more like dominance to me in which case if you take her out he will be at the other one ,i would keep an eye on them and dont worry to much young males get feelings and act on them if he is mateing she certainly isnt i would say she ie far to young in fact if you put a new male in there the same size he would probably go after him.i see a ;ot of this type of behaviour particurly with my young tgg in fact they are just as interested in boys as they are in girls ,not surprised really their father used to go after my boots when i still had them on.i think the only difference between tgg and hermans is the hermans will bite more often than butt.they are going to have to learn to live together so i would make sure things dont get out of hand just keep an eye on them we dont want them getting to stressed.
