I would think the possibility of microbe transfer in a fridge would be much reduced compared to a shed with multiple setups. The temperature would decrease the division of bacteria significantly. Plus the tortoises shouldn't be breathing all that much either. If each animal is placed in a box that should stop urine etc getting on other animals.
I am still yet to see any significant evidence of some species passing disease onto others. I've only heard of herpes but it sounds to be dangerous to all species. Helen xx |

In a fridge surely they are in closer proximity though? I think its all by the by anyway like Helen said I don't really buy the theories about mixing species
